Earlier on Thursday, President Donald Trump announced the new [acting] FAA administrator will be Chris Rocheleau. President Trump’s decision follows the mid-air collision that occurred in Washington, D.C. yesterday evening.
Rocheleau worked at the FAA for 20 years prior to leaving in 2022. Upon his FAA departure, Chris Rocheleau accepted a position at the National Business Travel Association as the COO. The well-known aviation figurehead has worked as an officer in the Air Force, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Transportation Security Administration.
