Earlier today, Frontier, a Denver-based airline, announced intent to acquire Spirit Airlines, making way for a possibility of pulling Spirit out of bankruptcy.
Frontier originally proposed their interest in February of 2022 and this time, Spirit’s upper management isn’t happy. The revisited initial offer dates back a few weeks to January 7, 2025 and so far, Spirit has declined Frontier’s initial offer.
Reporters believe that Spirit may emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on its own as a standalone entity, possibly in the next few months.
